Udgam Run – the Family Marathon took form in the mind of Mr. Manan Choksi, Director, Udgam Consultancy.
In the digital era, where content creators influencers are influencing our decisions, Mr. Choksi envisioned a day dedicated to Family and health.
Well, it is just about a day. Wake up early, practice walking – brisk walking, jogging, running. Set an alarm, wake up your parents, kids, siblings or grandparents. Go on, practice in the fresh morning air.
Udgam Run – the Family Marathon is a day to create memories, share smiles, and learn to stay healthier. It is a pledge – my family will be a healthy family. Health is Happiness. Health is a shared promise. Health is worth the early morning rises.

All participants are required to arrive 45 minutes before the marathon starts. Report by 5:45 AM
The following conditions must be met for eligibility to win prizes :
- Only 5 km and 10km categories will be considered.
- The school should be participating in the event.
- The student should use the “Student” category at the time of registration
- The appropriate school, shift, class, division, student ID should be mentioned while registration.
- Class / Division wise – Fastest Runner Certificates will be awarded. For example: the fastest runners in 6th A and 6th B would be given certificates of “Fastest in Class”.
- For all participating schools – the Fastest Runner in all divisions of each class will be given the “Fastest of all Classes” cash prize of Rs. 5,000/-
Awards will be given within 1 month of the completion of the event provided all formalities are completed by winners. It is compulsory to have a PAN card at the time of collecting prizes from Udgam School For Children. Ltd. In case minors don’t have PAN Cards, TDS will be deducted per existing govt. rules.
The applicant must pick up their packet pre-race. Please carry photo identity proof (Aadhaar card, Passport, PAN card, Election card or Driving license.) for collection of Race Kit. More details will be announced soon and shared on registered email.
- Runner must fill in complete details on the back of the bib.
- Only confirmed participants wearing the January 2024 running number bibs will be allowed on the route. Any person found wearing the incorrect bib or no bib will be disqualified and removed from the course.
- Further, every runner must wear his/her running number bib on the front of the vest. Any mutilation, fold, alteration or damage to the bib will amount to disqualification of the runner from the event.
- Runners found to have interchanged their running number bib and/or timing bib tag with another individual will be disqualified from the event
- Please note: If you don’t wear your timing bib tag as instructed, you won’t be able to get an official finish time and thereby the official certificate recording your finish times. No bib tag – No Timing.
- Runners who do not start their run at the respective start times of the race categories they have been confirmed in will not receive a certificate
- No vehicles are allowed on the course. Anyone bringing wheeled vehicles will be disqualified from the race and will be asked to leave the course.
- There will be specific finish cut-off timings (10 km – 2:00 Hours & 5km Run-1:00 hour). Runners failing to finish their race/run within such timings must stick to the footpath in order to complete their race; the route will open for normal vehicular traffic post the time intimated.
- The right to participate cannot be transferred to any other person under any circumstances, and the applicant alone shall be entitled to the rights and benefits arising hereunder.
- Participants are requested to cooperate with the police and security personnel deputed at the event venue and on route. Participants/supporters are liable to random checking on race day– this is for your own security.
- The right to participate in the event and the rights and benefits available to the applicant under this application form is at the sole discretion of the organizing team of Udgam Run-The Family Marathon.
- Organizers reserve the right to stop any participant from participating who is found medically unfit to continue in the opinion of the medical personnel.
- Requests for cancellation and transfer will not be accepted and thereby, refunds will not be entertained.
The marathon will take place on 5th January 2024 at Zebar School For Children, Thaltej, Ahmedabad.
The event is open to individuals and families of all ages. There are different race categories to cater to various age groups and fitness levels.

- 10 KM race for 12 years and above
- 5 KM race for 10 years and above
- 3 KM race for 8 years and above
- The cutoff time for the 10 KM race is 2 hours.
- The cutoff time for 5 KM & 3 KM race is 1 hour.

Baggage counters are available for all participants. It is strongly recommended that you do not leave valuables like mobile phones, cameras, jewelry, watch, electronic gadgets, etc. in the bag stored. Organizers are not responsible for any loss of baggage and/or its belongings.
With limited parking space, runners are requested to carpool, to avoid parking hassles at the venue.

Runners who complete the 5KM and 10KM race will receive a medal. An e-certificate will be provided for 5KM and 10KM participants (to be downloaded from our website).
We will provide water stations, medical aid along the course and a refreshment zone at the end of the race.
